Hair PRP: who it may help, and who needs more than plasma
Platelets are a scalp-support tool after we name the pattern of loss — not a density miracle in one visit.
Hair PRP uses platelets from your blood. The idea is to bring growth factors to the scalp. First we ask: is the loss genetic, nutritional, hormonal, or after illness or childbirth? Each path is treated differently.
When it fits, the scalp is injected to a session map. Mesotherapy or prescribed medicine may sit beside it. The honest claim is support for the growth phase and less shedding in some patterns — not a guarantee of a full scalp.
Timing matters. Spaced visits and reviews. Treating a lab-proven deficiency, when it exists, matters more than repeating injections without a diagnosis.
We write down what we agreed. If PRP is not the right tool, we explain alternatives rather than selling a fashionable session.
This is general education, not medical advice. Decisions and plans follow a dermatologist’s examination.
