Laser hair removal: what to expect in clinic
How the laser works, why you need a course, and what we check before a first visit in Tanta or Kafr El Sheikh.
Laser does not “burn hair from the root” in the way chat threads describe. Light is aimed at pigment in an active follicle. That is why results show across a course: hair grows in cycles, and one visit cannot reach every follicle at once.
Before we start we ask about skin type, hair colour, medicines, and recent tanning. The site matters too: the face is not the underarm is not the leg. Very light hair or inflamed skin may mean laser is not first-line.
Between visits we ask you to avoid strong sun and methods that empty the follicle completely (such as plucking), following the doctor’s note. Shaving is often allowed within the rules of the session.
At atom we do not publish one success rate for every guest. We set an expectation of less density and finer hair, and we review response after several visits. If the protocol is a poor fit, we say so early.
This is general education, not medical advice. Decisions and plans follow a dermatologist’s examination.
