Acne scars: what can improve, and what takes time

A scar is not active acne. Care calms inflammation first, then texture with measured tools.

If acne is still inflamed, chasing scars with laser can be early. We quiet inflammation and stop new marks, then talk texture: shallow pits, deeper ones, or colour where a spot sat.

Peels, fractional laser, and home plans are different tools. Deeper work needs recovery and sun discipline. Surface work may brighten skin without changing the geometry of a deep scar.

No visit returns skin to “as if nothing happened.” Improvement is judged in clinic light and in photographs, not a phone filter.

In Tanta and Kafr El Sheikh we set a realistic calendar: what the first visit is for, what a month later is for, and when we stop if response is poor.

This is general education, not medical advice. Decisions and plans follow a dermatologist’s examination.
